The traditional green carpet of the IIFA Awards 2017 witnessed the starry and stunning presence of B-town actors. We know that Bollywood is synonymous with glitz and glamour. Putting their most fashionable foot at the IIFA Awards 2017 and doing that big stylish thing in Big Apple. There were some impeccable looks but the highlight that rose to the fore was that of vintage glamour. Nailing this vibe to the hilt, these celebs and their designer ensembles added oodles of charisma making it a memorable extravaganza.

Famed international designers like Ziad Nakad, Zuhair Murad, Gucci, Emporio Armani made their foray on the IIFA traditional green carpet along with some splendid Indian designers like Gauri & Nainika, Swapnil Shinde and Anju Madan. Shining, shimmering and glistening away to glory, the divas were complimented by the dapper dudes. Below are our most favorite looks this year.

Alia Bhatt

Our personal favourite has to be Alia, who shone in her Zuhair Murad Couture gown. Styled by Ami Patel and making a dazzling display with a multicolored crystal detailed voluminous ball gown, Alia flaunted her deep plunging neckline, she rocked the look pairing it with just small diamond studs for her ears and her perfectly cinched waist. Sporting a stunning makeup of defined eyes, pink lips and wispy eyebrows. She finished out the look with a slick center parted updo hair, courtesy makeup artist Shraddha Naik and hair stylist Purshottam Hans.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi was our second favourite of the night. She slipped into an embellished LaBourjoisie gown, which she paired with amazing Chopard earrings. Styled by Mohit Rai, she looked like a vision in that body-hugging red gown with a sheer yoke panel along with the plunged neckline. She made heads turn at the IIFA green carpet as she surely cut a striking picture and we have to admit that.

Katrina Kaif

Styled by Tanya Ghavri, Katrina Kaif wore a powder blue Ziad Nakad gown featuring a voluminous silhouette, elaborate sequined details and alluring décolletage. She accessorized her look with a statement ring from Nirav Modi Jewels and earrings from John Hardy Jewellery. Hair and makeup artist Bianca Hartkopf gave her a minimal makeup with light pink lips. Her stylish sleek and left open hair made her look like a princess.

Varun Dhawan

Styled by Kunal Rawal, Varun Dhawan turned up the dapper quotient with an Emporio Armani tuxedo with a white Gucci shirt that bore embroidered cuffs, a Gucci bow tie and Yves Saint Laurent shoes. He had a clean shaved look, he rounded up the charming look with well-groomed hair and an easy smile. Going for a classic vibe with a tuxedo but incorporating modern elements and zinging it up with the embroidered cuff, Varun Dhawan aced the formal style but also had fun whilst doing so.

Shahid & Mira Kapoor

The cute AF couple walked in together and owned the IIFA 2017 green carpet with their coy smiles, sparkling chemistry and chic style. Shahid Kapoor opted for a customized ensemble featuring a grey suit and a black shirt from Anju Madan skipping the tie and completed his look with glossy shoes. Mira Rajput glowed on the green carpet with her stunning orange Swapnil Shinde gown with a fitted bodice, a delicate belt and a pleated skirt that billowed behind her dramatically. Keeping her hair wavy and swept on to one side with minimal makeup of delicately lined eyes with pink lips and rounded up the look with a pair of delicate earrings.

Preity Zinta 

Pretty Preity walked in with her good looking hubby, Gene Goodenough and was seen pulling off a classic black peplum gown looking beautiful as ever in that fitted black off-shoulder gown by Gauri and Nainika. She steered clear of any jarring accessories with the exception of diamond danglers. The chic updo hair were just perfect, she finished out the look with minimal makeup.

Disha Patani

Lastly, we have Disha Patani who wore a silver sheer beaded gown by Falguni and Shane Peacock. ‘Shine bright like a diamond’, is the only thing we can think of after looking at this sexy blingy body-hugging gown. Disha looked fab in this attire also won the Best Debutant – Female award raising the temperature with thigh-high slit. She topped the look with a wispy knot hair and metallic eyes.
