In an iconic and proud moment for India, model and beauty pageant holder Manushi Chhillar gave the country what it had been yearning for seventeen long years – the beautiful blue crystal encrusted Miss World crown. With Manushi winning the title of Miss World 2017, the country is brimming with pride!!  

Miss World 2017 was judged by a reputed panel of jury consisting of experts from various countries, where this talented beauty from Haryana beat five contestants from England, France, Kenya and Mexico to win the pageant, which saw participation from 118 countries from which Stephanie Hill of England and Andrea Meza of Mexico finished as runners-up.  

She created history and made India proud by becoming the fifth Indian ever to win the coveted title of Miss World 2017. She is a trained Indian classical dancer, poet, painter and is truly a beauty with brains. She comes from a family of doctors and wants to be a cardiac surgeon. 

Dressed in an elegant yet glamorous soft pink beaded gown, Manushi was all smiles as she was handed the crown by last year’s winner, Stephanie del Valle of Puerto Rico. Of course, it was Manushi’s consistent performance at the contest, the constant hard work, her heartfelt and intelligent answer in the final round and the efforts of her entire team that helped her clinch the title.  

From being a simple Delhi girl to representing India at Miss World 2017,  Manushi’s  journey has been an inspiring one. She has been trained by the best experts in the fashion and glamour industry who have contributed to her success.
