Women’s Ethnic Shades – “Happy Women’s Day”

I am not sure how many of you’ll are aware that the footprints of International Women’s Day originated on March 8th, 1908 when 15,000 women marched through the streets of New York standing up for their rights? It is 2017, and here at Rajwadi Emporium we shout out to all our magnificent ladies out there, “Happy Women’s Day”! We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all of our women blog readers, social media followers and advertisers a very happy International Women’s Day. Celebrating Women’s Day has become a tradition for us, but we celebrate the diversity throughout the year in various ways.

This International Women’s Day we eulogize the mysterious queens in us. Fashion and clothing have a distinct interpretation depending on the time, culture and the society that we live in. Modern women in India are known for their courageous and personal sense of style. By straddling traditional and modern aesthetics, the Indian woman is engraving a slot for herself in the world of fashion. Their formal and casual wear attire’s are mass produced outfits but when it comes to weddings and festivals, they continue to preserve a soft spot for exclusive designer ethnic clothing that is admirable.

There are numerous weddings and festive events that we are invited to in India, its obvious that occasion wear will hog substantial space in a woman’s wardrobe. Today’s young woman still has a slot for her heirloom Kanjeevaram, Banarasi or Silk sarees that she pulls out for her exceptional occasions. Saree which was treated as a daily wear formerly has now transformed into occasion wear. Her festive wear contains sarees, lehengas, anarkali suits..etc.. in myriad colors and fabrics and are always cherished. Indian fashion is interestingly intertwining international vision with traditional emotion to make a remark that is uniquely Indian. But ultimately one cannot overlook the influence of modern fashion on ethnic wear. It has managed in a huge way to reinterpret traditional wear in India. This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating women inventors who have changed the world and are inspiring the next generation. Let’s raise a toast for all bold, strong and fearless WOMEN.
